- Augmented PQLI: Der ursprünglich von D.M. Morris entwickelte und vom Overseas Development Council der USA eingeführte Indikator wird häufig um zwei weitere Maßgrößen ergänzt: die Kalorienversorgung pro Kopf sowie die Einschulungsrate. Durch diesen Index sollte die Validität der Messung verbessert werden.
